Girls and Youth Education
Mobile Tutoring and leadership training
In collaboration with the Archbishop Janani Lawum Institute of Development Studies, uNight is developing a special program to provide tutorial and remedial education for the night commuters and for children whose education has been unduly affected by the war. There will be a special focus on the education of girls as a key element in the restoration and rehabilitation of northern Uganda.  The program will use innovative mobile tutorial methods that will target students in their locales and schools.

The provision of clothes, shoes, school supplies, blankets, light
uNight plans to collect clothing, shoes, school supplies, and blankets for the night commuters and the 1.6 million people living in camps. uNight is working with members of the Acholi Religious Leaders Peace Initiative and local elected government officials to ensure the necessary logistical support for such a program.

uNight links its chapters in the US with the uNight projects operating on the ground in northern Uganda, establishing long-term bonds and enabling both communities to benefit from cross-cultural exchange.
